I was at another wedding recently where Maki did the flowers and I was so excited about her work that I decided to write an update. All the event’s floral arrangements were totally unique, reflecting the personalities of the bride and groom and their families.

Each main display had multiple components, with fruits and twigs and bamboo leaves intertwined.

After reading earlier yelp reviews, I knew I wanted to meet Maki. From the start she was a genuinely lovely person and so pleasant through all of our dealings. But it was her artistry on the day of our wedding that really blew me away. She executed my vision flawlessly while keeping within my budget. I wanted somewhat unusual combinations of flowers that were arranged in a very natural, flowing way. Drawing on her background in ikebana among other things, Maki created one-of-a-kind installations made from branches and other natural materials that flanked the entrance to our ceremony site. Each of the table arrangements were just a little bit different from each other, yet the whole design was cohesive. And the bouquets and corsages were also spot-on by using color and texture to make subtle design statements. I truly loved every last detail.

Maki is fantastic!! She did all of the flower arrangements and bouquets for my rehearsal dinner and wedding in Sonoma over a year ago and I couldn’t have been happier. I wanted a lot of color so she worked with me on choosing flowers I liked and then came up with absolutely gorgeous and unique arrangements.
I totally agree with mizcat c.’s review that Maki is flexible, willing to work within budgets, and extremely helpful in coming up with creative solutions. She is also reliable, organized and great about getting back to you. I loved working with her. If you need a florist for your wedding or any other event, I would highly recommend her.
